Aside from our day to day business functions, the employees and agents of Lawyers Realty are always planning and executing new ways of getting our image and message out to the public. Over the few weeks, we have planned and attended many events that enabled us to meet face-to-face with the public.
Â
On September 25th, Lawyers Realty held an Attorney’s Reception at the West Shore Country Club. This was an excellent opportunity for the company to meet and discuss the benefits of referring clients to Lawyers Realty. For example, if an attorney had a client who was looking to buy or sell a property and the client wanted to use our company, Lawyers Realty would hire and compensate the attorney for his/her time. In turn, the attorney would stay involved with the transaction by reviewing contracts, attending settlement, etc. This type of situation is a win-win-win for the attorney, for their client and for Lawyers Realty.

Our next event held this month was the West Shore Chamber of Commerce Trade Show. On Thursday, October 4th, the company had a booth in the show. We had a black backdrop with lights and some graphics that had our logo, website, and taglines. We decorated with mums and pumpkins to help give the booth a fall festival feel. Over 1,000 attendees browsed the booths and the agents generated a few leads. Many said that they have seen our advertisements, and they have heard about our company, but they wanted to learn more about the concept. Again, this was a great opportunity for us to explain our concept and work face-to-face with future clients.
Â
Overall, the trade show was a success and we hope to attend more in the future. On Thursday, October 11, Bob Walker, Chair of the Young Lawyers for the Dauphin County Bar Association, attended an Octoberfest held by the Bar Association. He and a couple agents attended the social event held on Front Street in Harrisburg. The agents mingled with the young attorneys and informed them of how they could benefit by referring their clients to Lawyers Realty. The young crowd was lively and a few were eager to work with us in the future.

One of our biggest hurdles thus far is educating the public on our concept. How can we get consumers to understand that we aren’t just a typical real estate company? These types of events are the answer. We are personal and in front of our consumers. Lawyers Realty is out and on the scene. •
