Interested in farm preservation, smart growth and promoting livable communities? The Cumberland County Land Partnerships Study Committee will present a draft plan update on November 5, 2012 from 7-9PM at the Lower Allen Township Municipal Building. There will be a brief presentation followed by public comments.
The County states that "Land Partnerships is a countywide strategy designed to improve and enhance the quality of life in Cumberland County through: farmland preservation, natural resource protection and parks, trails and greenways."
This comprehensive effort by the Planning Department set out to develop new recommendations for the next 5 years. Their study also includes a Citizen Survey which is open and available until November 30, 2012.
